After managing two local shops, Pat opened her own studio in 1990 as a wholesale workroom servicing the interior design trade and retail drapery businesses. While Pat will continue to serve her wholesale clients, she recognized a need by discerning homeowners who desire customized home fashions at reasonable prices. With her expertise and creativity, Pat enjoys working with people one-on-one to help them achieve their decorating goals.

 

Pat, along with her brother, grew up in the Detroit suburb of Lathrup Village.  As a little girl – an infant really – she came with her family to vacation in the Grand Traverse region, spending many summers at her aunt’s cottage on Little Traverse Lake.Taking a break from college to figure out what she wanted to do, she fell into sewing, and it entirely changed the course of her life.

 

Another shift happened when she had her son later in life, ultimately becoming a single mother when Chris was four, an experience, while challenging, she treasures. When Chris left to go to the University of Michigan in 2012, Pat secretly went back to the classroom and graduated in 2014, surprising Chris on the day of her graduation. Pat considers this one of her proudest achievements.
